Elusive Encounters is a solo exhibition of drawings and paintings by Els Borghart shown in Arvada Gallery (Genk, Belgium).
The works provide a series of encounters with images that are puzzling and reveal a hint of intrigue, based on reflections and musings of the world surrounding us. I am posing questions about how the world we live in impacts our state of mind. My works are reflective visuals that include a sense of ripples and distortion while providing a parallel of emotional questioning and response to the physical environment we live in, both unsettling and hopeful.
