The freedom fighters of the War of Independence are torn apart by the Treaty. As Civil War looms over the country, the people of Louth and Meath choose an alternative vision for their future. The most extraordinary moment in this period of history is recaptured in a devised live dramatic interpretation using historical documentation, personal writings, local and national histories this productions conjures up the diverse histories of the Civil War.

Performed in the pivotal site of Dundalk Gaol this promenade piece of theatre melds song, poetry and oral histories to re-examine the tragic legacy of the civil war and the opportunities spurned at the birth of the nation.
