I am incredibly grateful to be a recipient of the 2023 Arts Council Agility Award.
Over the past two years, I have dedicated time to collecting video materials and researching new ideas, while continuing to focus on how the landscape can be a metaphor to explore current issues. Notably, I participated in 2 month-long residencies in Arteventura, Spain, during the summers of 2021 and 2022.
Now, I want to dedicate focused time to create a first iteration of three seven-minute video pieces. Using landscape visuals, I aim to create a multifaceted focus that reflects our environment and internal experiences. This exploration is particularly relevant given the complex societal challenges we face, including environmental and economic crises.
